Things have been fairly busy lately for me and the boys…
For those of you that weren’t there – the end of March saw us start work on a forthcoming EP before playing @ The Ark, in Edinburgh with Josh and Fiona from Bring Back The Planes, which went very smoothly up until a wee buzzing sound at the end ruined our usually glitzy ending! An early flight to Belfast the next day for Stevey and I (some of us more hungover than others) and a mean lady at Edinburgh airport who was rationing tap water, all for a gig @ Auntie Annies in Belfast that night with local song-writer Jason Clarke was worth it. Thanks to everyone who came down, was great to have such a good crowd for my first ever gig in Northern Ireland and will no doubt be back soon enough. Stuart McQuitty even managed to squeeze me onto his radio show the following day for a wee live phone interview, so big thanks to him for that…
Belfast trip also included the Belfast eye, rain, a lot of drinks, rain, a lot of ‘craic’ and the introduction to a certain VAN MORRISON courtesy of Jake McCurry, cheers sir! Although he’s a kinda grumpy character, amazing to meet a legend.
A few weeks spent in the Algarve visiting my parents and writing some songs, gearing up for another election, hearing Franco (drummer) had broken his knee, getting my flight home cancelled cause of volcanic ash over the UK from Iceland and featuring on Portugese radio station KISS FM (www.kissfmalgarve.com) for another live interview made for an interesting trip. Thanks to Owen Gee on Kiss FM for playing ‘Half Awake’ and ‘Feel Me’. I also bumped into a friend i hadn’t seen in quite a few years, and he’s now 6 Ft 6″, fuck me he’s a big lad! Small world…
Anyways, sorry this is such a long email, just thought Id let you know whats been going on, to quote the great Marvin Gaye.
Up-coming Gig Dates are;
20th April – 3 TUNS…GATESHEAD
22nd April – THE BRIDGE…NEWCASTLE
28th April – NEWCASTLE UNI STUDENT UNION BASEMENT!
Come down to any of the following if you can…we may or may not have a drummer!

Merry Christmas everyone – hope you all had a lovely day, drank and ate lots and saw plenty of your families…
Tonight I put a new song up online called ‘Name’ – my sister Gemma was even good enough to sing on it too so I am very happy with what has come out. There are going to be lots of new songs and recordings in the new year, some acoustic and some full band so keep on checking back
I will be in touch very soon.
Lots of love,

Seeing as its that time of year and everyone’s skint as they’ve got to buy Xmas presents for family and friends, I’ve decided to give away the live version of ‘Feel Me’ which recently went up on my MySpace. It is available to download NOW if you are on the Official Mailing List. HOWEVER, if you are not on the Official Mailing List, you can sign up here by just following this link http://www.andyknox.co.uk/free
I am working away in the rehersal room with my new band, Steve, Franco, Dom, Luke and Lauren as well as in the studio so hope to have the new tracks available some time in the new year, but for now, please enjoy ‘Feel Me’ live, its only available for 7 days so send this email to all your friends and get them to do the same – everyone’s a winner…
Love,

Hello All,
I am sorry it has been so long since I last wrote on this blog but it is once again firmly back up and running thanks to the lovely people at Pretty Klicks…
Having gigged quite a lot between September and early November, I thought it was about time I released some live tracks of one new song and an old Andy Knox classic…
‘Feel Me’ and ‘Hardly Surprising’ are now both up @ www.myspace.com/andyknoxofficial for you to listen to, please let me know any comments regarding the two. They were recorded at Ravensbourne College of Technology in London and there will be video footage to follow shortly. Enjoy.

Today it was confirmed that I will be supporting Sandi Thom for back to back nights in February as part of her Homecoming Scotland Tour. The first night is on the 11th February at the SECC in Glasgow and then The Venue in Dumfries on the 12th Feb. They should be some really good gigs – so I am very excited. Hopefully see some of you down the front – nice and early seeing as I will be the first on I suspect.
Love my new website – don’t you?! www.andyknox.co.uk is finally here – Thank our friends at Pretty Klicks – www.prettyklicks.com
